November 10

We had our remembrance Day Assembly today and the students did a wonderful job playing the recorder to Mi Caballo Blanco, a Chilean folk song, with the grade 3 students. In English, we finished writing and revising our personal narratives. In Spanish, we started looking at the present progressive so that we can talk about things that are happening in the moment. In math, we wrote our own word problems in Spanish. and continued to practice using our strategies for solving two digit multiplication. In Science, we talked about matter and the four states of matter and their characteristics.

Remembrance Day Assembly Attire

Our class will be playing the recorder at our assembly tomorrow. We are kindly asking students that are participating in the assembly to wear a solid coloured shirt (no designs). If they have white, black, neutral colours that is preferred.  Also, if you can avoid it, please do not wear any bright colours – neons, yellow, bright pink, etc.

Thank you!

In math, we did a classroom scavenger hunt where we had to solve word problems posted around the room. We have been rehearsing lots for our remembrance day assembly on Thursday. Srta. Primak has requested we wear a solid and neutral colour shirt. We are also still looking for donations for our Veteran's food bank. We will accept donations until Thursday.
